Seriously, how many times have you said "I'll be happy when...?"
When, WHAT???? When exactly is that? When X thing happens, or X promotion occurs, or the kids are a certain age, or your bank account has a certain amount in it, or you reach some other arbitrary milestone you've created for yourself?
Let me guess...X has come and gone, and yet, you're still reaching. In fact, I'm guessing you moved the carrot and have a new "I'll be happy when" story to tell yourself.
Let me share a little secret with you...WHEN is NOW.
I used to be that gal. Achieving for the sake of doing so and delaying my own happiness to check off a bunch of boxes that left me feeling empty.
The secret to life may very well be building HAPPINESS AND JOY into the everyday fabric of your life. So that the accomplishments and achievements and check boxes are but a part of the garment, NOT THE DESIGN.
